The Gilded Age Detectives

In the closing years of the 19th century, New York City is a metropolis of innovation and burgeoning crime. A new kind of detective, known as the Irregulars-including the street-smart Jack O'Mara, the scientifically brilliant Rachel, and the stealthy Ellen-operates from the city's hidden corners.
Their paths converge when they are recruited by New York City Police Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt. He tasks them with investigating a series of unusual occurrences: erratic power surges, strange flickering lights, and a peculiar hum. These events are linked to the mysterious disappearances of several prominent inventors. The detectives discover that these phenomena are connected to the work of the brilliant but misunderstood Nikola Tesla, whose theories are being twisted for a malevolent purpose by a shadowy figure known as The Coil.

The mystery unfolds across five acts, each revealing a new layer of the villain's plot:

• Act I: Tesla's Shadow: The Irregulars race to stop The Coil, who is using a monstrous device to manipulate electromagnetic fields, siphoning energy from the city's electrical grid and creating a devastating feedback loop.
• Act II: The Silent Symphony: The detectives face a new threat as The Maestro uses invisible frequencies to influence emotions and public opinion.
• Act III: The Sky Serpent: The conflict moves to the skies with the introduction of Tesla's phantom airships, which cause widespread chaos.
• Act IV: The Thought Weaver: Backed by J.P. Morgan, the antagonist seeks to control the very essence of human thought by injecting silent frequencies into newspaper ink, altering history and memory.
• Act V: The Dream Weaver: The final confrontation involves an invasion of the mind, as the villain attempts to manipulate dreams and reality.
