Reverend John H. Gamble Jr., Pastor of Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church in Newark, NJ, is a passionate pastor, preacher, bible teacher, and worship leader whose multifaceted gifts have afforded him numerous opportunities to minister across denominations, both nationally and abroad. A public school educator for over two decades, Rev. Gamble has taught both elementary and middle school, and has held instructional leadership positions including, Principal, Vice Principal, and Director of Curriculum and Instruction. A lifelong New Jerseyan, Rev. Gamble is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and is actively engaged in advocacy for marginalized communities through his professional and religious affiliations through his work with civic, non-profit and grassroots organizations.
Willie J. Thompson Jr. Ph.D., serves as Senior Pastor and Teacher of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Prior to becoming senior pastor and teacher, Pastor Thompson had the privilege of serving the Oak Grove community for over 20 years. Willie is an author, couples coach, life coach and currently serves as the Chief Engagement & Strategy Officer of two multimillion-dollar service companies. He is an ordained minister and is the founder of two non-profit religious organizations committed to empowerment, education and outreach. Lastly, Dr. Thompson is President of Compass Consulting LLC., a minority owned enterprise that manages client engagement and strategy for businesses leading initiatives of social responsibility and multi-cultural communications.
