So persuasive was this eloquence that Rāma stated: Whose heart is not moved by these wonderful words... Even an enemy, who has his sword uplifted, would be touched by such words.
Hanumān's appearance, recognized immediately by Rāma as a deliverer of good things, was the critical moment that secured the alliance and set in motion all of Rāma's objectives.
