Is there an influence from the Hebrew alphabet on our 21 Century? Hebrew scholars think so. Since ancient times, the Hebrew people, who lived in the Land of Canaan in the Middle East, known today as the nation of Israel or the Holy Land, have had an alphabet (Alef-Bet) system in which they could form words to communicate with one another. What is unique about this system is that their alphabet is pictorial, each letter having a corresponding picture. These pictures have evolved over the centuries but are fairly standardized today.
