The Holy War Made By Shaddai Upon Diabolus, For The Regaining Of The Metropolis Of The World: Or The Losing And Taking Again Of The Town Of Mansoul is a religious allegory written by John Bunyan in 1682. The book tells the story of the spiritual battle between the forces of good, led by Shaddai, and the forces of evil, led by Diabolus, for the control of the human soul. The story is set in the town of Mansoul, which represents the human soul, and is overtaken by Diabolus and his army. Shaddai sends his army to fight against Diabolus and reclaim Mansoul. The book is written in the style of a medieval epic and is filled with religious symbolism and allegory.
