My purpose in writing this book is to show the world that the gospel of JesusChrist changes lives for the better - there are no two ways about it. I can say this with confidence because His gospel has certainly changed my life. I grew up poor in Jamaica and moved to New York City. This journey taught me that if you truly give your life to Christ I guarantee you'll never be the same again either. Within the pages of this book I want to share what can happen to a person when they truly let go of the world and give all to the Savior and Redeemer of the World. Through my personal spiritual journey towards God I hope to inspire you to put your full faith in Jesus Christ as it admonishes us to do in Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 6 of the Bible: For without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. In addition to pertinent passages such as this one from the New Testament, I will also share verses from books considered God's holy scripture by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which I am a member, whereby I hope to further encourage you to seek out the path that leads to the Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and His glorious gospel. These passages, along with my story and quotes from the prophets and apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ have had a great influence on me and have led me away from the empty, worthless enticements of the world and towards the beauty and peace that only a life with Christ can bring.
