This study examines the socio-economic and environmental impacts of assisted natural regeneration (ANR) in three villages in the municipalities of Magaria and Dantchiao in the department of Magaria. Surveys conducted in the three villages enabled us to identify factors that allow us to assess the dynamics associated with the practice of assisted natural regeneration. The methodology adopted for this study focused first on documentary research, then on fieldwork to collect data, and finally on data analysis and processing using software such as Microsoft Excel and Sphinx Plus-V5 for graphics, and ARC-GIS and Adobe Illustrator for map production. Assisted natural regeneration has enabled rural farmers to develop agroforestry. The impacts of ANR are diverse and varied in the study area. The sale of wood from ANR brings in an average of 10,250 CFA francs per year to producers. This practice has also made it possible to re-green farmland, fertilize soils, and increase agricultural yields.
