Evangelical Christianity in recent years has been writing books and teaching a lot about the Jezebel spirit. The origin of this spirit comes from Revelation 2:19-29. The question is, however, does such a spirit really exist? By looking at all the biblical evidence that has been given for the existence of such a spirit/demon, and also extra-biblical evidence that is used to support the existence of such a spirit, Uyl asks the question of whether this spirit is real or not. If such a spirit is in fact real, the question needs to be asked, what effect has this Jezebel spirit had on evangelical Christianity, as well as other groups of Christians as a whole? Is this Jezebel spirit really what it appears to be? If not, what is really going on with this Jezebel spirit that many are trying to hide and use this spirit as a false flag?
Going into biblical texts and many other first century and middle ages texts, Uyl seeks to answer the questions about the Jezebel spirit's legitimacy and the effect the spirit/demon has had on Christianity as a whole.
