In Kiera and Lamby: Madrid, Kiera and her lovable stuffed lamb are off on another nighttime adventure. This time, their magic blanket brings them to the plazas, parks, and museums of Spain's capital city.
As the two friends try tapas and admire paintings and palaces, they discover how curiosity can turn a normal night into an unforgettable journey.
The second book in the Kiera and Lamby travel picture book series, Madrid blends gentle bedtime storytelling with playful exploration, inviting young readers to explore new places while cuddled up with their favorite stuffed animal.
This book is perfect for:
- Children ages 4-8
- Kids who have a beloved stuffed animal they take everywhere
- Families who love travel and imaginative picture books
- Classrooms and libraries exploring world cities
- Baby shower, birthday, & graduation gifts
Kiera and Lamby: Madrid reminds readers of all ages that the world is full of beauty, and all it takes is a little imagination and curiosity to find it.
I really enjoyed how gently Nicole O'Connor's Kiera & Lamby: Madrid introduces children to another country in such an inviting way. As an educator, it's refreshing to see a picture book centered on a real-world city like Madrid, which opens the door to talking about geography, culture, and travel in a way that feels fun rather than like a lesson. I especially appreciated the final spread that shows other cities and asks kids where they'd like to go next-it's a natural discussion starter about different places in the world. I can see educators extending it by making a chart of the most popular locations students would like to visit, or by drawing themselves on a magic blanket heading to that destination. Anika Tasnim's illustrations, with their soft colors and charming details, give the whole read a comforting feel. Readers looking for a soothing bedtime story, a travel-themed book, or lovers of adventures with stuffed friends will love this imaginative tale. - Jennifer Senick for Readers' Favorite
