Larkspur is a novel written by Jane Abbott and published in 1919. Set in the early 20th century, the story follows the life of a young woman named Larkspur, who is the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Despite her privileged background, Larkspur is discontented with her life and longs for something more meaningful. As the novel progresses, Larkspur becomes involved in a number of romantic relationships, including one with a man named Philip, who is engaged to another woman. Larkspur also becomes interested in social activism and begins to work with a group of women who are fighting for women's suffrage.Throughout the novel, Larkspur struggles to find her place in the world and to reconcile her desire for personal fulfillment with her responsibilities to her family and society. The book explores themes of love, social justice, and personal growth, and offers a glimpse into the social and cultural norms of the early 20th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
