Letters of a Leatherneck is a collection of letters written by Cornelius Vanderbreggen Jr., a United States Marine Corps officer, during his service in World War II. The letters were addressed to his family and friends back home and provide a firsthand account of the experiences and emotions of a young Marine fighting in the Pacific theater. The letters cover a range of topics, from the brutality of combat to the camaraderie among soldiers, and offer a unique perspective on the war. The book also includes photographs and documents from Vanderbreggen's time in the military, as well as commentary and context provided by the editor. Overall, Letters of a Leatherneck is a poignant and personal portrayal of the sacrifices and struggles of those who served in World War II.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
