Letters of the Empress Frederick is a collection of correspondence written by Victoria, Empress Frederick of Germany, to her daughter, Victoria, Princess Royal of Great Britain. The letters cover a period of over 30 years, from the time of Victoria's birth in 1840 to her death in 1901. The Empress Frederick was a highly intelligent and educated woman who played an important role in the political and cultural life of Germany during the reign of her husband, Emperor Frederick III. The letters provide a fascinating insight into the life and times of the royal family, as well as the wider political and social context of Europe in the late 19th century. They cover a wide range of topics, including family life, politics, art, literature, and philosophy. The editor of the book, Frederick Ponsonby, provides a helpful introduction and notes to help readers understand the historical context of the letters. Overall, Letters of the Empress Frederick is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of Europe in the late 19th century, as well as the lives of the royal family. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
