The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby was Charles Dickens's third novel, published as a serial between 1838 and 1839. The story revolves around young Mr Nickleby, whose responsibility it is to support his sister and mother following the demise of his father. Charles John Huffam Dickens (1812-1870) was an English writer and social critic famous for having created some of the world's most well-known fictional characters.
