In this volume on the gospel of Luke, John looks at the only writing by a Gentile in the Bible. Half of Luke's book contains material not found in the other gospel accounts and emphasizes material of interest to Luke's Gentile audience: Jesus' relationship with women, His love for children, and His healing ministry, to name a few. Luke was a scientist, so his account is chronological and well-researched, providing a perspective from the Gentile world, of which Luke was among the firstfruits.
