Tom is a farmer who is passionate about his work and the land, and he teaches Mary the value of hard work and perseverance. As Mary begins to find her place in the world, she also discovers a deep love for Tom. However, their relationship is complicated by the fact that Mary is engaged to a wealthy businessman from the city. Mary must decide whether to follow her heart and pursue a life with Tom or to stay with her fianc and the life of luxury she has always known.
