The author's intention with Lonny Love was to write a biography that is easy reading, in a pulp-fiction style. It is all true, experienced and documented. The story tells about her drug addict/dealer/rehabilitated son, Lonny. It is sometimes sad, sometimes funny and sometimes informative, too, if you want to know how to grow marijuana, for example. Though the story at times is poignant and intense, you will chuckle aloud every so often. There are no ponderous paragraphs or wasted words, so the book is easy to read and fast moving. It has been said that you have to have a gimmick, and the author is hoping that her gimmick is surprise. Therefore, look for little surprises now and then. The book is uplifting, and displays the meaning and value of friendship and familial love. It did not take much to make Lonny laugh, giggle or smile. Despite his trials and tribulations, like Voltaire's Candide, Lonny still believed that it was the best of all possible worlds, and that is how he tried to live it. Lonny Love is a little book, about a little person who was big in, and on life!
