Making Up is a novel written by James Young and published in 1905. The book tells the story of a young woman named Kitty who is forced to marry a man she does not love in order to save her family's financial situation. However, Kitty's heart belongs to another man, and she struggles to come to terms with her new life and the consequences of her decision. As the story unfolds, Kitty's husband becomes increasingly abusive and controlling, and she begins to feel trapped and alone. She turns to her old flame for comfort, and they begin a secret affair that threatens to destroy everything she has built with her husband.Throughout the book, Kitty must navigate the complexities of love, loyalty, and duty, and ultimately decide what is most important to her. The novel is a poignant exploration of the challenges faced by women in the early 20th century, and the choices they had to make in order to survive and thrive in a world that was often hostile to their desires and ambitions. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
