Roger's life had always been difficult. Without the aid of helpers and the support of friends and family just getting around the house could be troublesome. Fortunately for Roger, help arrived in the form of Pebbles the support dog, one of the friendliest, most mischievous animals ever trained by the brilliant people at Woofability. Brought up to help those struggling with a disability, the dogs at Woofability provide an invaluable help for people in various places around the country but this service is still expanding. Though Pebbles is much more than just a helper: he's one of the best friends you could ever have. Told from the point of view of Pebbles himself, The Man with the Lovely Dog Called Pebbles chronicles the average day in the life of him and Roger, and all the mischief and trouble the two best friends find themselves in. More than just an endearing tale of friendship however, the short novel sheds light on the importance that support dogs and the programmes that house them have on the lives of thousands of people throughout the country every single day. In The Man with the Lovely Dog Called Pebbles, author tells a heart-warming tale of how one cheeky golden retriever completely transformed the life of one man forever. Aided by beautiful hand-crafted illustrations, the charming connection between Roger and Pebbles is brought to life in the vibrant pages of collection of short stories. With humorous asides and writing from Pebbles himself, the role support dogs play in the every-day lives of the disadvantaged stays at the forefront of Pebbles' imaginative first adventure.
