Truly a timeless classic written by an amazing person who was just a child at the time. Monica wrote this book back in the late 70's while an elementary school student, as a class assignment. Her grandmother then illustrated it a few years later, after her parents realized what a gem it was. After so many years of being hidden away, her family is thrilled to now be able to share this story in honor of both their memories. Although not around to see this story come to life, we know both would want to share their love for animals, entertain, and encourage creativity in the next generation.
