Contemporary society demands that the value of the work of higher education teachers be clearly demonstrated, but the evaluation of the quality of professional activities is often insufficient. This qualitative study aims to improve the performance evaluation model for teachers at the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Benguela (ISPB), which faces difficulties in monitoring performance. Descriptive research was used to collect data through observations and informal, semi-structured interviews. The results revealed that evaluation is carried out by heads of department, but is not yet institutionalized. The research used inductive, comparative, bibliographic and field methods. For practical implementation, the Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology and tools such as VS Code were adopted, as well as programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and various frameworks. These approaches enabled a more effective analysis of the subject, improving control and relevant responses on teaching performance.
