I have had the privilege to watch Fletch develop into a brilliant poet. His poems conjure feelings of laughter or crying, leaving an emotion creating a personal connection to his writing.
His first book Gutter Rhymes felt more like reading someone's journal rather than a book. This resonates even more so with My Alluring Mind.
My Alluring Mind is a deeper look into his personal life. Struggles along with victories, but not without his sarcastic humour, guide you along this journey of his life. These poems will take you back to moments in time you remember as if they were yesterday. Others expose you to new and exciting experiences as you watch a boy grow in to a man, all along finding peace with himself.
While the book has many poems I enjoy, Country Lanes stands out the most to me. Each time it is so easy to imagine myself walking through the Country Lanes, hearing the cows and chickens and the smell of fresh hay.
