I have always been fascinated with poetry and its linguistic rhythm especially when being recited by my dad. To me, poetry contains words of wisdom for the soul. Therefore, this book consists of soul-stirring poems that my father would often recite, some original poetry of my own as inspired by his renderings, along with some food for thought. After readers have digested the contents of this book, it is my hope that these words will speak their to minds, reach their hearts, and that they will come to know the breadth and depth of God's love. Rev. Kaye Coates is the associate pastor of Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Brunswick, Maryland. She is the wife of Earl, the mother of Tamala and Angela, the grandmother of nine, and the great-grandmother of eight. She has a servant's heart and readily does the work of the Lord. Kaye is a multi-talented individual who unselfishly uses her gifts and talents to benefit others. Like her father, the generous outpouring of herself and her resources is legendary. True to her calling, Rev. Coates is a faithful servant to her church and community, but her overarching ministry is global by far.
