Another homage to the life and work of W M Hunt and his huge body of work.William Morris Hunt (March 31, 1824 - September 8, 1879), American painter, was born at Brattleboro, Vermont, to Jane Maria (Leavitt) Hunt and Hon. Jonathan Hunt. Raised as one of the preeminent artist in American art, which started with an education in Paris France, where he learned the principles of the Barbizon school of art. William Morris Hunt was the leading painter of mid-19th-century Boston, Massachusetts Hunt painted his most handsome canvases, all reminiscent of his life in France many included within 'William Morris Hunt' vol 13 of this series. American landscapes round out the collection represented in this title. The Niagara prints were among the last of his completed art projects whilst he worked within the United States
