These spectacular caverns, now an integral part of Glacier Dominion Park, are located approximately six miles from Glacier, B.C. The book narrates the thrilling tale of this discovery and the subsequent exploration, which eventually opened these caverns to tourists worldwide.
The narrative is enriched by a series of illustrations, mostly snap-shots taken by Mr. Deutschmann himself, capturing the raw beauty and harsh realities of frontier life. The only exceptions are two sketches by Jean Pagés and two photographs of Mr. Deutschmann, which add a unique dimension to the visual storytelling.
