Herald of the Harpies is the 14th canto in Kit Ludlow's epic art poem Orpheus. In this particular canto, the protagonist, Orpheus, treks through the woodlands of the suicides. There he encounters the Harpies, spirits of torture. As Orpheus navigates this encounter, he grapples with questions of whether or not he should continue his journey. The canto serves as a powerful exploration of self-agony.

Every line of the poem is illustrated by the poet's artwork. All artwork is original to the canto.

This is the color edition of the 14th Canto.
