Fourteen-year-old wise cracking Theo Johnson isn't the most popular girl in school. The thing is, Theo isn't a frumpy pumpkin girl anymore, she's a beautiful princess, courtesy of Darlene and three magic pills. The mission is a dangerous one which takes place in an alternate reality accessed through Darlene's basement and some high-tech chrome hair dryers. Theo finds herself face-to-face with Darlene's evil sister who has some pretty nasty plans for Theo. It's up to Theo to accomplish her mission and get out of there alive, while trying to figure out whether she likes the new beautiful Theo or the plain girl she used to be.
