Mayor Eleanor Ahah of St. Louis, Missouri is surprised when an alien ship, made of brown glass with blinking red lights, lands near the Gateway Arch. He warmly welcomes the visitors, who are small, white-skinned beings with ten red eyeballs, and begins to show them his city. The entire city buzzes with excitement, drawing spectators from far and wide to witness the unusual arrival. The aliens express a desire to meet a boy and learn about St. Louis. In response, Mayor Ahah arranges for them to reside at the local stadium, concealing the large alien ship under a silver tarp. He diligently educates his new friends about the city, and a strong bond of friendship and mutual learning develops between the humans and the aliens. NASA also extends a welcome to the visitors from Uranus, and their presence quickly becomes a globally recognized event.
