Traumatised, mistrustful, and wearing the scars of what she endured, she is discovered by Uwe Weber, a quiet and thoughtful fourteen-year-old sorcerer. As Uwe helps her rediscover trust and rebuild her sense of self, a deep bond grows between them. Meanwhile, the faculty uncovers a dangerous truth: the artifact is a remnant of a forgotten magical project once twisted by the Nazis - a weapon born from hatred and fear.
Returning from Hell is a powerful blend of historical drama and fantasy, exploring trauma, resilience, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. Through Alin's harrowing journey from despair to healing, the novel asks how the past shapes the present - and how even in the darkest chapters of history, light can still break through.
