This stunning edition reproduces Coleridge's epic poem from a highly original version created in 1910 by Willy Pogány. The Hungarian-born artist's interpretation of the strange and gripping tale, told by the sole survivor of a cursed voyage, constitutes a wondrously dramatic marriage of words and images. Pogány's vision offers the print equivalent of a medieval manuscript, rich in sumptuously hand-lettered text, decorative borders, illuminated scripts, and numerous marginal illustrations as well as 20 full-page color plates.
