There is no doubt that Islamic Sufism, according to the moderate practical methodology of Junayd, has, throughout the long history of Islam, contributed to the creation of a high model of Islamic life, characterized by spiritual depth, ethical nobility, intellectual and scientific wealth, and many other qualities. Sheikh Ahmadou Bamba, may Allah be pleased with him, succeeded in drawing inspiration from this model of Islamic life to develop an authentic methodology of reform and renewal, education and training, aimed at building a Muslim human being balanced, to develop and advance human society in all areas. His disciples and supporters followed his example, perpetuating his method of education, reform and revival. Thanks to Allah, they were able to leave a clear and visible imprint on Senegalese society, the effects of which are still perceptible today. In this modest study, we wish to highlight the blessed contributions of the Sheikh and his faithful followers in the areas of reform, renewal, education, training, territorial planning and service to the people. humanity in general. We ask Allah Almighty to grant us success in what is good, satisfying and beneficial.
