In the meantime, while Roy Odyssey and Megan quickly learn the value of history, before they're whisked away, Jason Ruskin, an old world farmer, finds himself in the midst of an unparalleled adventure concerning the residence of the home town metropolis of Cosmic Springs, a turn of the century colony on an Earth-like world haunted by loss, a missing sheriff and deputy during a recurring temporal incursion plagued by shadowy figures that just might be the remnants of the past experiences of the inhabitants presented in an energy field of an ancient living creature who once resided on the plains of a world now renamed for Cosmic Springs. It's up to the farmer to track his missing neighbors and find a way to rescue them before dawn's early light.
Confronted by the living machine's braintrust AI platform, while facing off against entities existing in multiple dimensions, the two would-be adventures Roy Odyssey and Megan Sanders must prove themselves worthy of the intrepid journey, before the vehicle's artificial intelligence core will permit the two youth to accompany it on a galaxy-hopping quest across the cosmos.
