The Royal Grandmother (and Granddaughter) of Oz is my answer to her question. It would be a mess! Without a Wizard to run it, Oz has rather fallen apart since you left it and went back to Kansas. Scarecrow didn't really get a brain, he got bran, and some needles and pins, and the Tin Man didn't get a heart, but a pin-cushion, and the Lion didn't get courage from drinking a cough syrup! He doesn't have courage now, he just frightens people. According to Jon Lopez, the illustrator: This is a fresh and thoroughly delightful addition to the Oz stories with a contemporary spin that brings the series into the 21st Century, while maintaining the timelessness, tone and feel of traditional Oz.
