He is there to attend the coronation of the new king, but he becomes embroiled in a plot to overthrow the king by a group of rebels led by Rupert of Hentzau. The story follows the twists and turns of the plot as Rudolf and Fritz try to protect the king and thwart the rebels.The book is full of adventure, romance, and intrigue.
