Sammy the Short-Tailed Squirrel is a cute story about a pesky little squirrel with a tail much shorter than his friends'. Sammy dreams of living on a nice farm in the country. Upon finding his dream home with a farmer and his animals, Sammy begins to get into mischief. Sammy and the farmer must learn how to live together and come to an understanding in order for happiness to prevail on the farm.Throughout the story, Sammy learns how with perseverance and willingness to compromise, it is possible to obtain his dreams. As parents sit and read this story to their children, Dr. Cook hopes children will learn the value of following their dreams so one day through compromise and hard work they can realize them.
