Once in the high Andean country the holy gentleman lapses into a state of semi- narcolepsy. His affairs must be managed by Elliot, who keeps his eyes on the prize of spreading Walby's doctrine of Che-su, a politico-theological philosophy that combines Jesus' love for the masses with Che Guevara's call for armed rebellion. With the evanescent Walby in tow, Elliot sets out on a comic pilgrimage to make contact with the true revolutionaries of FARS (Frente Armado de la Revolucion Santense) and its charismatic leader, La Mama.
