These three kings started well, but they disappointed God later in their lives. It is one thing to start well; and it is another thing to end well. Both your starting and your ending are very important; but ending well is more important for you. These three kings - Saul, Solomon and Asa - backslidded from God; and Saul and Solomon greatly backslidded in their hearts, which led to their doing great evil works in the latter days of their lives.
