SỌRỌ SÓKÈ is a Nigerian Yoruba word, meaning 'Speak Out! It is about women, and the abuse they suffer. Many women have suffered hurt, loss or even died because they did not speak out until it was too late. It is a book that takes us on a quest to recognize that abuse is taking place and thereafter, to sensitise women, parents, carers and government agencies, on how to identify different signs and forms of abuse. As a society, we should also explore, what to do about it. We must not accept abuse as the status quo. Together as a people, we must say 'No!' to abuse. The first thing to do, is to speak out!
