There is a hymn hidden inside one of the oldest Tantric texts ever written. It is twelve stanzas long. Lord Shiva calls it the key that unlocks the entire Durga Saptashati, all 700 verses of it, without requiring a single preparatory ritual, a Sanskrit scholar, or a priest.
That hymn is the Kunjika Stotra. And most people who could benefit from it have never heard its name.
Ram Gunjal first encountered it in a small temple outside Udupi, Karnataka, on the recommendation of a seventy-year-old priest who handed him a laminated card and said: Chant this tonight. Not for any result. Just chant. He did. Something shifted that night. He has been working with this stotra ever since, across fieldwork in Varanasi, Nashik, Bhopal, and Chennai, listening to what happens when ordinary people encounter this frequency and stay with it long enough to feel what it does.
This book is the result of those years.
What the Kunjika Stotra is: a concentrated sound-body of Shakti energy, drawn from the Rudra Yamala Tantra, containing the bija mantras Aim, Hreem, Kleem, and Chamundayai Vichche in a sequence designed to activate, protect, and gradually transform the practitioner. It takes eight to twelve minutes to chant. According to the tradition, it carries the full fruit of a scripture that takes hours. According to the practitioners in these pages, it carries something that analysis cannot fully name but the body learns to recognize.
