I am confident of the fact that this book will be demonstrated in your life, in the precious name of our LORD Jesus Christ. The concept of 'an open heaven' is important in our journey in life. Thus, it becomes imperative for us to desire that our heaven becomes open such that there is a direct acquisition of all that makes life meaningful. There is an unquantifiable danger of operating under a closed heaven.
Therefore, the importance of this book cannot/must not be over-emphasized. Why? Securing an open heaven is an important requirement in being fulfilled in life and also securing heaven's commendation in the world to come.
However, this cry of the prophet is essential in exploring the importance of securing an 'open heaven'.
Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the maintain might flow down at thy presenceIsaiah 64:1This desire informed the cry of this old prophet of Jehovah. Thus, this passage becomes the foundation from which we begin to desire God's mercy in securing 'an open heaven'. Oh that, Jehovah will burst from the heavens and come down (NLT). If He does rend the heavens, it says 'that the mountains might flow at thy presence'. Mountains represent stubborn-like situations. They stand for difficulties. They are like unsurmountable situations that look natural without the possibility of rectification. But when the heavens are opened the Lord steps into the situations, then the mountains melt instantly.
Therefore, securing an open heaven is synonymous with securing the divine presence. We must note that the divine presence is important in our journey in life. Do you remember psalm 114?
When Israel went out of Egypt, the home of Jacob from a people of strange language Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. The sea saw it and fled, Jordan was driven back The mountains skipped like rams and little hills like lambs What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? Thou Jordan, that you wast driven back? Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams: and ye little hills, like lambs TREMBLE, THOU EARTH, AT THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD, AT THE PRESENCE OF THE GOD OF JACOB; Which turned the rock into standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.Psalm 114:1-8 (Emphasis Mine)The presence of the Lord turns the impossible situation into possible. His presence in your life's situation is a by-product of you securing 'an open heaven.'
