I realize looking back at my educational life that shapes are the foundation and if learned, will be applied in advanced math and geometry. I was requested by educators to produce a book on shapes and next will be colors. Why? Representation matters and if young people are attracted to the images in this book because they look like them, then hopefully the ability to grasp, learn and retain these basic geometric shapes will be applied and take them far in their academic careers.
