The Shore Road Mystery is the sixth installment in the Hardy Boys series of mystery stories. Written by Canadian author Charles Leslie McFarlane and published under the pen name, Franklin W. Dixon in 1928, The Shore Road Mystery ranks as one of the best books of the series. The novel begins with the Hardy Boys out for a joyride on their motorcycles on Shore Road with their friend Chet Morton. There they meet a local fisherman who has had his car stolen. Later they discover their friend Jack Dodd, and his father being questioned by the police regarding a stolen car that was recovered with Jack's fishing rod in it and a series of car thefts that have been going on in the area. And just like that the boys are off on their adventure of investigating the missing cars and to clear the name of their friend. In this thrilling adventure a series of suspects and an ingenious ruse ultimately lead Frank and Joe to discover the mystery of the stolen cars. This edition follows the original edition, first published in 1928, and is printed on premium acid-free paper.
