Synopsis: The Sons of Saint Francisco The Sons of Saint Francis is a novel that blends science fiction, Latin American politics, Franciscan theology, social critique, and generational drama. The story proposes that humanity was not born on Earth but on Mars, where a Franciscan philosophical movement emerged, defending equality and rejecting the dominance of an anti-human elite. On the brink of the planet's destruction, humans migrated to Earth. There, once again, the lust for power led to a war that destroyed almost everything. A small group of survivors-a manipulative elite known as the Deep State-reorganized the planet for their own benefit. Millions of years later, the descendants of the humans who had escaped to the center of the universe return to Earth, resuming an ancient struggle for the control of humanity. In this new context appears Matilde, an immortal woman who has created human hybrids with extraordinary abilities: telekinesis, tele-transportation, energy manipulation, and protective fields. Among her creations is Ernesto, a failed, aggressive, and ambitious hybrid, and his unexpected counterpart: José, known as The Tiger, raised by Franciscans after a tragic childhood. In this world, genders no longer exist, and Matilde masters chimerism, a reproduction technique developed by her ancestors during their long journey of escape from Earth toward the Deep Universe. José, an orphaned outcast, gathers thousands of young people in secret caves, forming a spiritual and technological army: The Sons of Saint Francis. They are inspired by Franciscan values of peace, humility, and justice, but are also prepared for an imminent war against the Deep State and the Demons of the Big House (Demonios de la Casa Grande), led by Ernesto and the powerful Cisneros-a military and political family that has manipulated the Southern Cone for decades. Throughout the novel, several threads intertwine: Political Thriller: Military coups, dictatorships, drug trafficking, and corruption in the Southern Cone.
