self-help: the question is never will there be a change; the question is what will your change be you can guide your changes, you can direct your new paths in life, you can achieve any goals set, most importantly you can undue years of damage by simply applying the Love Yourself concept to your life! Ten years make up a solid decade, in that time life, the world, politics and so own will face changes; what matters the most is the change that your own life will have. It is time to redirect your own choices to create a better quality of life for you and yours. In a world filed with so much negativity, we can all use a positive that can lead us to self awareness. My story is unique to me, yet very similar to many of you out there. I am sure that many will relate and in fact through my openness see how easy it could be to overcome hardship, loss, betrayal, and the ugly of humanity by focusing on what is good and right for yourself. By living with a focus of goodness, kindness, gratefulness, and abstaining from hatred you too can create your very own happy and peaceful state of mind and way of life. This story is one of overcoming, not the what if's but the very real load of hardships that we are dealt with. In one instant all that makes life worth living is torn apart, health, family, job, everything is in shambles; wanting to end my life definitely crossed my mind many times. Yet, through the unconditional love that my life has for my family, not only did I survive, I thrived. Once a child at thirteen becoming a mother, a child raised by a single mother who did not speak English while I was born and raised in the Los Angeles county in the US, had four son's by the age of nineteen and dealt with nearly twenty years of infidelity and emotional abuse; I've graduated from community college and traveled to various places around the world through the earnings of my hard labor. Gone now from LA, California to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to start a new face of my life in peace and harmony. This book only shares with you my reader ten years of my life, one solid decade, the most important one yet. This is the decade that I break free from all the ties that kept me bound to a place and time where my life was directed by those who I love the most and the ones who value me the very least. By my culture, and upbringing I have defied all of my traditions and reveled against the norms that would have kept me living miserably while everyone that counted on me went along with their lives free to do as they wished. I broke my customs and in doing so I freed my son's from that same fate. I did not leave them with riches, but granted them the freedom to choose their paths in life without having to be bound to me or the taking care of me. I've granted them the opportunity of learning from my mistakes and that of our ancestors and if they have enough courage to do what is right in life for themselves then they can follow their passion without the fear of being held back by the manipulation that unfortunately we as family tend to bestow upon our new generations. Thank you for taking the time to view this creation of mine, thank you for coming this far, hopefully this is a book that you can come back to time and time again as you embark in the journey of your own changes in life.
