Iberia mencionada en antiguas fuentes egipcias datadas en los tiempos de las invasiones de los Hicsos (Hykussos) como una isla cuya Acrópolis Acuática o entre Aguas era denominada como Iu-Spania o Iu-Spaniu.
Hispania serÃa la pronunciación latina de una forma púnica como 'Y-Span-ya, que según las más recientes y autorizadas interpretaciones significarÃa: Isla de los Forjadores o Fundidores de Metales. Otras viejas hipótesis proponÃan: Isla del Norte o Isla de los Conejos. Lo cierto es que si bien la segunda parte del nombre ha derivado en diferentes hipótesis, la primera parte, 'Y, o I, siempre ha sido aceptada por la mayorÃa como correspondiente al fenicio 'Y (pronunciado I) 'Isla/costa'.
La antigua tradición de los fenicios y cartagineses de identificar Iberia como una Isla, la conservaron los árabes y beréberes, quienes llamaron a toda Iberia con un único nombre, Yazirat al-Andalus, esto es: Isla de Andalus o Andalos. De Andalus -escrito en las más viejas grafÃas árabes como Andlos- dicen algunas fuentes islámicas medievales que era el hijo de Japhet o Jápeto, o sea, el mismo Atlas o Atlante. Por tanto, como el autor viene defendiendo desde hace casi ya dos décadas, los árabes realmente estaba denominando a Iberia como la Isla de Atlas o Atlante, que es justa la traducción de la denominación griega que Solón usó para la isla de la Atlántida, o sea, Atlantis Nêsos, Isla de Atlas o de la Descendencia de Atlas.
Eso es lo conocido hasta hoy. Pero el autor ha logrado hallar numerosas referencias a una gran isla en el océano (La Isla de los Dioses), frente a un estrecho canal (Columnas de Hércules), que encaja en su tÃtulos, denominaciones, descripción, y hasta en su ubicación -al ser representadas en muchos mapas antiguos egipcios, en lo que serÃa el Golfo de Cádiz- con la misma Isla de Atlas o de Atlante que nos describe Platón a través de Solón, precisamente con el nombre griego de ATLANTIS NÊSOS, que justamente se traduce como Isla de Atlas o Isla de la Descendencia de Atlas.
Esta Isla de los Dioses, la cual tenÃa su comienzo en lo que serÃa el Golfo de Cádiz, tenÃa una metrópolis conectada con el mar por un largo canal -como la metrópolis de Atlantis descrita en el Critias- y su acrópolis, en la cual se hallaba el Trono Sagrado del mismo Osiris y Atum-Ra y Schu, y también la morada de su hijo Horus y de la diosa Maat, es descrita como La Ciudad del Trono Acuático o La Ciudad del Trono de Agua o La Ciudad del Trono entre Aguas. Justo como la Acróplis de Atlantis, la cual tenÃa, en efecto, su Trono, es decir, su Palacio Real, en una pequeña isla rodeada de varios canales circulares inundados del agua del mar que provenÃa a través del mismo largo canal que la conectaba con el mar. Y para mayor sorpresa, el nombre que en egipcio aparece señalado para esta Acrópolis Acuática o entre Aguas, se pronunciarÃa -en egipcio- como Spaniu o Spania (Spa = Trono de El que Eleva o hace Elevar o Sostiene en lo Alto (como Atlas) y nia o niu = Ciudad y mu o nu = Agua). Por tanto, Spa.niu mu se traducirÃa como La Ciudad de Agua o Acuática del Trono del (dios) que Eleva o Sostiene en lo Alto (Schu) y justamente, en el Critias se afirma que Solón habÃa traducido los nombres originales al griego, guiándose por el significado de los mismos, al ver que los egipcios habÃan hecho lo mismo antes. Por tanto, el nombre de Atlantis Nêsos, que en griego es Isla de Atlas o de la Descendencia de Atlas es la traducción del significado del nombre original de tal isla.
