Sin terminar la escuela secundaria y rebelde desde niño, el futuro de Luis Urdaneta no parecÃa grande ni brillante según las primeras predicciones de su familia y amigos. Sin embargo, aunque creció pobre en Venezuela, no dejó que sus circunstancias lo definieran. Luis decidió que iba a cambiar su vida cuando era solo un adolescente, y eso es precisamente lo que ha hecho, habiendo construido una empresa exitosa de casi mil millones de dólares empresa multinacional con sede en los Estados Unidos, y todo como una persona que no habla inglés.
Luis no es ajeno al fracaso y las dificultades. Recibió su primer sabor de éxito como vendedor directo para Tupperware, a pesar de llevar bolsas rosadas de suministros y llamar de puerta en puerta para encontrar clientes a través de los barrios venezolanos estaba lejos de su trabajo ideal. Durante este tiempo, conoció a mentores quien lo ayudó a aprender los comportamientos y el enfoque que necesitaba para encontrar su camino a la cima, y él pronto logró un gran éxito gracias a creer que era posible. Pero todo su esfuerzo se desperdició cuando perdió su enfoque al alejarse de las ventas directas. Todo por lo que habÃa trabajado tan duro comenzó a estrellarse a su alrededor y se declaró en bancarrota cuando tenÃa treinta y nueve años.
Luis volvió a la venta directa, su verdadera pasión, para salir de la oscuridad y decidió crear su propia empresa de venta directa en Venezuela, sabiendo que partir de cero serÃa difÃcil pero su única opción. Después de lograr el éxito en Venezuela, quedó claro que necesitaba emprender nuevos niveles, por lo que una vez más rodeado de familiares y compañeros de equipo de confianza, fue tras su Sueño Americano.La marca MONAT se introdujo en el mercado, vendiendo productos de belleza de alta gama, y desde entonces se ha convertido en un empresa de casi mil millones de dólares.
