'Spilling the Beans on the Virus' opens the door: it allows people to tell their Covid story, allows people to tell others how they feel, how Covid has affected them, reveals their concerns and their beliefs.
In this book, people from across the globe talk candidly: about the virus, the vaccine, the lockdown. They give their thoughts on health services, on scientists, on decision-makers. They reveal what they think about conspiracy theories. They offer their predictions for the future.
The Virus has been with us for a year now, and I'm bored with the statistics, bored with what politicians are saying, bored with what the media is telling us, the author says with a hint of despair.I'd much rather hear what real people have to say. I actually don't care where they're from, I don't care about their ethnicity, their gender, their religion, their politics. Quite simply, I just want to hear what they have to say.
So, what experience does David have in this field? Well, very little to be honest. He simply found time on his hands due to the lockdown, and an itch that needed to be scratched. He simply asked people (most of whom he didn't know) to answer some pertinent questions on the virus, put it all together and came up with this book.
I just wanted to hear THEIR story, with no trolling and no abuse - just thoughts and opinions from across the spectrum. In fact, one contributor personally thanked me for giving her the opportunity to vent without fear of a backlash!
