Lobagola: An Africa Savage's Own Story is an autobiographical account of the life of Lobagola, a man born in Tanzania in the early 1900s. The book is written by Lobagola himself, also known as Bata Kindai Amgoza Ibn LoBagola, and provides a unique perspective on the experiences of an African man during the colonial period.Lobagola's story begins with his childhood in a small village in Tanzania, where he was raised by his mother and grandmother. He describes his early years as a time of learning and exploration, as he discovered the natural world and developed a love for storytelling and music. As Lobagola grows older, he becomes increasingly aware of the injustices of the colonial system and the ways in which it is impacting his community. He describes his experiences working as a porter for European explorers and missionaries, and the ways in which he was able to use these opportunities to gain knowledge and insight into the workings of the colonial system.Throughout the book, Lobagola shares his thoughts on a wide range of topics, including religion, politics, and the nature of humanity. He also provides a detailed account of his travels throughout Africa and Europe, including his time spent living in Germany and France.Despite the many challenges he faced throughout his life, Lobagola remains optimistic and hopeful about the future of Africa. His story is a powerful reminder of the resilience and determination of the human spirit, and the importance of preserving the stories and experiences of those who came before us.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
