Soraya Bodorff, is a visual artist, writer and designer. She studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and completed her BFA in Fine Art with an emphasis in Painting/Drawing. Her focus primarily exploring The Dream course and Abstract Expressionism. Having been brought up in a multicultural background of Swedish/Columbian; Art History, Théâtre and Music have been a dominant influence. Her family introduced her to international travel at an early age, her father having been a sailor with the Norwegian merchant marines. Soraya also studied in Barcelona, Spain and she believes was able to transmit influences from her favorite architect Anton Gaudi into her works. She continues to have vivid dreams of having lived in the city of Atlantis in a past life. She also explores dreams that involve traveling to space. Some inspirations include: fashion icon Alexander McQueen, film director Alfred Hitchcock, film director Tim Burton, photographer Cindy Sherman, Harajuku Fashion, and her all-time favorite musician David Bowie.
