Bishop's naval career started around the age of 12, when he first figured he would end up joining. After all, his dad, three uncles, four cousins, and oldest brother had served. However, Bishop's family doubted he'd be a good fit. As he himself puts it, I was an untamed hellion coupled with continuous self-inflicted calamity.
