Systematic Exposure to Toxic Substances
The military's negligence in exposing service members to toxic substances has led to severe health consequences. This issue is compounded by the closure of contaminated military bases without proper remediation.
- Over 600 military bases have been closed, leaving a legacy of illness and suffering.
- Contaminants include JP-4 jet fuel, Agent Orange, PFAS, and heavy metals, all linked to serious health issues.
- The military's awareness of these hazards has been documented, yet adequate protective measures were not implemented.
